Anja Vanhatalo is passionate about sustainable value creation and a firm believer that sustainability should be at the core of every digital transformation journey. Anja puts her skills to good use as both Nordics Sustainability Business Development Lead and Sweden Corporate Sustainability Lead at Ernst & Young (EY). In her work, she integrates sustainability in the Nordic market, makes sure that the full width of competence related to long-term value is utilized, and supports clients in meeting their sustainability related challenges. Anja is also responsible for sustainability reporting, leads EY’s environmental management system, and drives strategic employee engagement activities. Moreover, she is a frequent speaker at internal and external events pushing the sustainability agenda.

Previously, Anja has conducted internal audits of a Mining & Metal company as well as supported fintech companies to realize their ambitions.

Anja’s educational background has a focus towards emerging markets risk analysis and international business. Her degrees include a BSc from Uppsala University (Political Science) and an MSc from Stockholm School of Economics (International Economics), with a specialization in global strategies and business development at Copenhagen Business School.
